Besides the obvious, your bathing suit, there are some other things to take into consideration when going to a beach party. A cute sundress is always easy to toss on and take off. Draw string, light weight pants and a cute tank is also always easy. If the party is at your house, just slip on a long tee or a short robe. Maybe, just maybe, purchase an actual beach cover-up that can be found at any bathing suit store or in the bathing suit section of your favorite department store. There is an Everything But Water in almost every mall. That is the perfect place for one stop shopping come bathing suit season!
It is wise to carry a purse/bag that is water proof (or beer proof) with a safe hiding spot for your wallet. Leave the leather Louis V. at home. There may be someone of the opposite sex of interest to you, so be prepared. It is a good idea to pack a mini-deodorant (we are big fans of Mitchum’s unscented roll on) and even a perfume sample to freshen up with during a bathroom break. We know you already know this, but don’t forget your sunscreen. We think the best is Skin Ceuticals, but anything will work!
We mentioned just the basics. Don’t be afraid to spice it up with your favorite accessories and chic shades. Tie a scarf in your hair, or toss on a wide rimmed stylish hat, to shade you from the sun.
