“I’m leaving on a jet plane…”
Back in the good old days, airplane passengers, including the flight attendants, would dress to the nines. As society as a whole became more casual, the outfits worn on the airplane also became more casual. Denim has officially taken over the world. As much as we all want to be comfortable when traveling….. Wardrobe Wire believes that you should still try to look your best. You will see hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Networking often happens when in airports and on airplanes, so you may meet a potential investor for your business, a future employer, a future boyfriend or girlfriend, etc. It’s definitely a good idea to look your best and have no regrets.
On an airplane, you will be snuggled up very close to strangers. You don’t like it when they smell bad, so chances are they feel the same. Shower before heading out and wear deodorant. If you insist on wearing perfume, don’t drench yourself in it. Perhaps you should opt for one of your lighter fragrances in order to respect the people around you. Let's avoid giving someone else a headache or allergic reaction.
Going through security at the airport can cause you to break out in a sweat. You may even lose time getting to your gate if you are not prepared. As much as we like to look fashionable, there are many ways to do it without losing your breath. Avoid wearing any jewelry until you have been past security check. ALWAYS, when traveling, keep your jewelry in your purse or carryon. Don’t check it with your luggage. How awful would you feel if the airline lost your precious jewelry?
Don’t forget that belts will be have to be removed, as well. To avoid this altogether, wear leggings or harem pants instead (please try to avoid sweatpants). Pair them with a tank top and a cardigan. Roll up a scarf in your purse, and toss it around your neck once you have passed security.
To freshen up when traveling long distances, keep a travel sized pack of facial wash cloths in your purse. You can pick them up at your local drug store. Keep your powder, lip gloss, and mascara in your carryon, as well, so you can touch up before arriving at your destination.
