What to Wear to a Haute Pool Party

Clip This

Heading to a haute pool party?  You better be prepared!  Whether you’re planning a getaway to Miami, Las Vegas, L.A. or Atlantic City, you want to choose swimwear styles that are pool party-perfect and will get you noticed in all the right ways.

Bikinis

For all the bikini lovers out there, consider two-piece swimwear styles that you may not normally wear.  Think outside the box with embellishments and unique details like fringe, beading, gold hardware and Swarovski crystals.  But if you want to get noticed without the fancy shmancy stuff, try swimwear styles featuring fierce notice-me prints like colorful watercolor patterns, animal prints with pops of color and stylish geometric-inspired designs.  Finally, if you believe that “less is more,” try a simple yet sexy little black bikini.  The LBB is a classic swimwear style that’s sexy in an understated way.

Monokinis

If you shudder at even the thought of wearing a two-piece, go for sexy monokini swimwear styles.  Monokinis are one-pieces with side cutouts and are often described as the sexier version of traditional one-pieces.  The best thing about monokinis is that they come in all different styles that appeal to both one-piece and two-piece swimwear devotees.  For those who don’t want their tummy on full blast, many monokinis feature great front coverage.  But if you’re just plain tired of your classic bikinis, there are a number of sexy monokini swimwear styles that are just as skimpy as a bikini!

Heels & Cover-ups are a Must

When you’re walking in and out of a haute pool party, you want to be the first thing they see and the last thing they remember.  Heels and cover-ups are a must for any pool party, regardless of the locale!  Since your swimwear serves as the main ensemble, look for heels and cover-ups that complement your swimsuit.  Wedge heels are perfect for elongating your legs and improving your posture, and they’re a lot more comfortable than a pair of sky high stilettos!  Look for swimwear cover-ups that exude sheer sophistication, like flowy kaftans, open slit-front long dresses and tunics embellished with lace or fringe.

I’ll leave you with one last swimwear tip—don’t forget to accessorize your pool party look!  Choose a chunky necklace or some fun, exaggerated bangles, a fun floppy hat or a chic fedora—just don’t overdo it.  And whatever you do, don’t forget the shades!  Get ready to wow everyone with your fab swimwear style!
