The Question
Going to New York city the 1st week in October. What is appropriate to wear for sight seeing during the day? Will I need a trench coat? Can I wear nice black trousers to a Broadway show?

I'm so jealous! The beginning of fall is one of my most favorite times of year and what better place to ring it in than New York City?! The temperatures will be in the low 70's, but still with enough sunshine to convince you that winter is not lurking behind the corner, and the nights will get chilly so be prepared for transition. I always travel with Band Aid Friction Block Stick and apply it to my feet before I'm going to be doing any extensive amount of walking. I, personally, am not quite ready to bust out a trench coat during the day as I'd much prefer a cardi coat or a blazer with a pair of denim. Black trousers are perfectly acceptable for a Broadway show! Have fun!
