I am a photographer exhibiting my work at a local bistro,I know what I'm wearing,but people are asking me what they should wear to the opening reception. I could tell them what to wear to a gallery, but maybe you have suggestions for a bistro. Thanks!
This being an art event people should feel free to express themselves with what they wear. If you have an outfit that has been in your closet and you haven't had a chance to wear it because its always seemed a bit much, I would encourage you to wear it to an art event.
Bold prints, unique shaped clothes, expressive designs are welcome. Clothes I believe are another form of art! But you could also go casual chic and turn the volume up with great jewelry or a stand out pair of shoes.
I would assume it is a fairly casual environment. Being that it is art though, they may want to step it up and toss on something a little more funky whether is be a wild scarf or jewelry piece. I would probably wear black skinny jeans and maybe a cropped blazer with a bright colored tank underneath. Dress codes they might work with are:
casual, MOD, stylish, hippie chic
