Rachel Leigh debuted in Fall 2004 and hasn’t disappointed. Launched by former Yves Saint Laurent publicist, Rachel Blumenthal, celebrities Nicole Richie, Blake Lively, Rachel Bilson, and Jessica Biel have all been seen sporting her designs. Her pieces are a constant feature in magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, Lucky, InStyle and O Magazine.
For just launching 5 years ago, Rachel Leigh has had an impressive start with showrooms not only in the U.S. (New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco), but Scandinavia, Germany, Paris, the Middle East, Japan, Korea, and Canada.
The names of her collections are darling; Audrey, Millie, Olivia, and Cleo, to name a few, with a sound that has a classic, vintage and fashionable appeal. The Millie collection is absolutely one of my favorites…and Oprah’s as well! It has a vintage look with big, richly colorful baubles, set in 14K antique gold plating. Another great piece is the Cleo Tassle Necklace with its gold tear drop pendants hanging at different lengths and Rachel’s signature roped bows all in 14K antique gold plating. Her Hippie Chic Collection is another stunner adorned with ribbons and delicate chains and crystals.
Rachel Leigh designs for three causes – Turtle Ridge Foundation, Make the Difference Network, and Comfort Zone Camp. Teaming up with actress Jessica Biel, she created the Turtle Charm Necklace ($60) and proceeds go directly to support the Turtle Ridge Foundation (environmental, health, & economic issues) and Make the Difference Network (connects nonprofit organizations with potential donors). She designed two necklaces to support the Comfort Zone Camp. One is a heart with a cut out puzzle piece shape and the other is a dog tag with a cut out puzzle piece shape (both $78). Comfort Zone Camp is the nation’s largest bereavement camp and is offered for free to children 7-17 who have lost a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. The puzzle piece is a reflection of the piece of their heart the camp kids often say they are missing.
Her bracelets range from $52-$146, earrings from $36-$132, necklaces are $44-$188, and rings are $40-$97. She also has headbands for $88. Her designs can be found nationwide at Anthropologie stores and Nordstrom. You can also shop online at zappos.com, revolveclothing.com, and rachelleigh.com.
