If someone walks by you in a Katie Simone Nehra design – I can pretty much guarantee you’ll stare. Her designs are freakin’ hot! Her fall collection is total rock ‘n roll sex and we totally think this chick should be our friend! Case in point – her twitter bio states: “It’s hard out here for a pimp.” Ummm…I actually think she could be our long lost sister with a bio like that!
Katie is originally from Boston, MA and currently spreads her home base between New York and LA. She’s quite the go-getter seeing as her occupation includes actress, writer, and designer. You go girl! Katie started Simone in 2006 as a dress line to satisfy her desire for designs she couldn’t find in stores. (Oh, if only we were all so ambitious and talented!) Her collection now includes jackets and tops and we hope there is much more to come!
Her fall collection is entirely black except for one piece that includes black and white and one gray dress. This collection includes a studded skirt with little silver circle grommets strung about that I would probably consider giving up shelter for a week or two to own. Yeah – it is seriously that hot. I also love the low cut black racer back tank with a strip of silver embellishments down the front ($265). The cut = daring, hot cleavage. Own it! She has a long sleeved black and white Jaguar print dress that is perfect for a night out on the town with the girls or a hot date with Mr. Right Now.
So…where to shop? Unfortunately, she is not yet in any major department stores but the girl is already international! Her designs are in shops in Tokyo, Lebanon, London, Hong Kong, and Canada! She is also in boutiques in NY, LA, and Chicago. Thankfully, her website says an online shop is coming soon! It actually says this September, so hopefully that means tomorrow!
