Although I have been known to hideously wrap a gift with excessive amounts of bows and jingle (I just get so overcome with Christmas joy!) I do love the look of a properly styled gift box. And unless you are going for laughs on purpose, this is the way to go.
1. Pick a theme! Are you going for peace this year or you enamored with the color red and just can’t get enough? Feeling the glamour & glitter? Go for a black and white or sparkling damask pattern on your pattern.
2. When wrapping, make sure you have very sharp looking edges and use double sided tape to seal it all up.
3. Ribbon!! Walk right on over to the fabric ribbon aisle. Do not use that old curling ribbon or plastic sticky bows…go to the fabric section and get some polka dot or striped ribbon…whatever you are feeling. Using fabric ribbon will create a much more rich looking package.
4. Personalize it! Add an ornament or a small picture of you and the person you are giving the gift too. Include a hand written card (it doesn’t have to be anything long) but whatever you say, mean it.
Happy Gift Wrapping!
