Just when you thought the distressed (ripped) denim trend was fading away...it has come back full force for spring. Introducing: Distressed Embellished Denim! It seems people just couldn't part with last seasons trends of ripped jeans and embellished everything...so why not combine them? That seems to be the case as the Spring runways were filled with their revisions of these trends.
Balmain and Rock & Republic created an edgier look by adding chains and studs that peek through the tears of the denim while Ralph Lauren and Blue Notch combined sequins and shiny fabric to the distressed denim for a dressier look. These new distressed embellished jeans hit stores this winter and deliver through April with a wide range in prices from $190 for Blue Notch’s jeans to $7,500 for Ralph Lauren’s embellished pair.
