I will be attending a pub crawl this Friday. The bars include everything from upscale wine bars to down and dirty dive bars. What kind of shoes should one wear?
T-shirt, Jeans
Since the evening will go from one extreme to another is best to dress in the middle or stick to one extreme. example.. Jeans, T-Shirt, Sports Coat and Marc Nason's OR Jeans, T-Shirt, NO coat and Vans????
I would stick with a nice dark brown loafer that looks good with jeans and a button up shirt. That way you are comfortable and casual but can easily transition if you go to a more upscale place.
Find out how "upscale" some of the places you are going to are. If they are really upscale - a sports coat may be required and tennis shoes could be banned.
