The Question

I was in Georgia a couple of weeks ago and noticed a lot of girls wearing cowboy boots with sun dresses. I thought it was cool! Is that new for women this year?

I think that women in the south have worn that for a while. Definitely not something "new". What works there may not here, but culture and traditions must be respected in their respected places. If they can pull it off.... more power to them. I guess it would depend on many other factors.

Gaven - I live in Texas, and cowboy boots with sundresses is always in fashion down here. Every Spring and Fall, girls are rocking the look. It is the quintessential southern girls casual look. The boots are a bit much in the summer when the temps reach over 100 degrees, but people in the south are VERY serious about their cowboy boots and they spend A LOT of money on them. It can cost the equivalent of you/your girlfriend buying a pair of designer boots.

It must have been warm in Georgia. Sundresses in October? Intriguing. Well maybe Georgia is starting a new trend for next spring. Right now alot of women are rocking the over the knee boot but not everyone can get away with that look. Me personally-not fond of cowboy boots....I have 1 pair and I only take them out for castings and any western theme parties I may be invited to. :)
