I would definitely do cocktail attire with a twist...adding your own style to make it fashion forward and not basic. I would pair black sheer lace stockings (or stockings with a great pattern) with a brightly colored mini dress and your highest heels! Pile on the jewlery and bling and do your hair different then you would normally. If you wear it down often then pull it up in a sexy loose bun.

I would wear a cocktail dress! In general, always error on the side of being over dressed. Your friend specifically put "Glam" in the invitation because she didn't want people to show up looking average or ordinary. Glamorous signifies that you need to put extra effort into getting ready that night, so don't just wear something you would wear any old night on the town. Fun accessories will also go a long way. Think of celebrities that you associate the word glamorous with and then assimilate similar styles into your outfit that night. For example, I think of Jennifer Lopez and Merilyn Monroe - big earings, elegant hair and flirty skirts!
