The Question

I am going to NYC for Thanksgiving. I am not sure if I shouldn't worry about packing a clutch. Is it acceptable to go out in NYC with a large bag?

You can totally go out with a large bag...but do you really want to is the question? Anytime I have been out and about in NY with one of my big bags, I have found myself knocking people's drinks over with it, getting it caught inbetween people when I am trying to squeeze by and generally just getting tired of carrying it while trying to hold a drink! Like the ladies said before, attach the strap to your clutch and work the town...then when you get to your destination, tuck it back in. Or just carry a smaller bag. Do we really need that much stuff at the bar?

I used to live in NYC. Every style is embraced there. It is hard to walk with a clutch, and EVERYONE walks in NYC. Like Paige said. take your favorite clutch and pull out the strap while walking. When you reach our destination, wear the purse as a clutch!

Of course! Most clutches come with a strap tucked inside. Go on and untuck that strap and wear in diagonally across your body. BGBG is also a great place to look!
