Venice, Italy: a city that is known distinctly for the astounding amount of water that surrounds it. Even though a majority of this city is either in the water or surrounded by it, the Italians still carry that fashion state of mind. While a majority of the shops in Venice are small boutiques that cater in having a diverse collection of jewelry and accessories, the boutiques don’t fall short in their fashion pieces. Venice’s renowned and popular boutiques include Banco 10 and Venetia Stadium, to name a few. While the other boutiques are comparatively smaller, they all are located in the close streets of Campo Santo Stefano.
Unlike the cities of Milan and Rome, the fashion style in Venice is more laidback. During the summer season, women are seen wearing neutral colored cropped slacks with loose tops or lightweight dresses. Like the simple and comfortable style of the women, the men wear slacks and simple t-shirts. Because Venice is a coastal city, it always tends to be breezier so it’s smart to bring a light jacket and umbrella for your travels (even during the summer time). During the winter season, lightweight layers are essential. Even though it doesn’t get terribly cold, the weather becomes muskier and wetter. At this time, women wear light trench coats with dark colored pants while men wear crew sweaters with slacks.
Whether it is a hand crafted crystal bracelet or a satin gown, every piece is authentically made with a ton of Italian culture blended in. At first, Venice may not seem to cater to the typical fashionista; but if you dig deeper within the city, everyone can find simple treasures that they are bound to take home and enjoy forever.
