Light, non stick fabrics because it is HOT and humid. the looser the clothing the better. I would load my suitcase with tank tops and sundresses. Don't forget bug spray!

The first thing to be prepared for is the HEAT and humidity! Think cotton and linen, open toed shoes and sandals, easy, breezy, free flowing outfits. Southern girls love their sundresses and they are perfect for the southern sun! You can make it trendy by adding a belt and some fun, tribal jewelry. I also love summers draped shorts like the ones from J.Crew in the posted pictures. Throw on a straw hat, fedora style is super cute, and for night, definitely a little white dress! You’re skin will be tan, and there is just something about crisp white dress that stands out in the hot dirty south.
