Think beach or nautical wear with style.

Men: Light weight cotton clothing works best. Think linen, poplin and/or cargo style pants. Try light button-up shirts with the sleeves rolled up for a more casual look and for shoes, try leather driving shoes, leather sandals or canvas loafers. Try to keep shoes in the color family of white, khaki, navy, black or red. No Tevas or Crocs and definitely no black dress socks under whatever shoes you wear!

Women: Think loose, flowing clothes: brightly colored printed silk tunics, maxi (floor-length) sun dresses, wide-brimmed straw hats and strappy leather sandals or wedges. Or, if you lean toward a more classic style, try nautical-inspired clothing. Look for pieces in navy, white, red and beige, boatneck shirts with 3/4 length sleeves and striped tops with cardigans and trousers, or dresses in light-colored cottons or linens.
